Soap Opera's for instance, when young teenagers see their favorite characters kissing and "making love", what they don't see is protective sex being displayed to them. Also the music channel videos, BET for example, many of the videos show women in very little clothing or two or three women in a hot tub with a guy drawing the conclusion of having sex.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the similarities of these two Buddhist concepts: Fresh Start and Habitual Patterns. Habitual patterns are the same thing as the repetition compulsions ever so cherished in Psychoanalysis. And how many comparisons have been done between Buddhism and Psychoanalysis? Too many already, in my opinion. Therefore, I'm not going there in this post.

I made Soft Pretzels from Cooking Light this weekend..
And because I don't have a KA yet... I did the kneading myself...
Which wasn't bad...only 8 minutes... and my arms don't hurt the next day! LOL
It was so gratifying to see that the bread actually rose!
I did it right... and I was able to get 16 good sized pretzels...
Half I sprinkled with Kosher Salt.. the other plain...
And it went over great with the family :)

When we get back he goes to get a haircut from the Russians across the street. They always make him look like a college kid, and I look and feel much older by comparison. I always imagine the difference increasing exponentially as we age. He's twenty-three days older than me, but undamaged by years of California tanning and obscene teenage and college drinking.

Frankly speaking, I am tired of hearing companies' announcements to build oil refinery in Indonesia. I published countless of stories on oil refineries for my newspaper Bisnis Indonesia in the last couple of years but none of them materialized.
