If I had to use one word to describe my state of mind lately, it would have to be anxious. I'm starting to realize that anxiety is actually a state I revert to quite easily.

Tons of household chemicals that were once stored safely in garages, bathrooms and kitchen cabinets along the Gulf Coast pose a potential environmental threat after being scattered by Hurricane Katrina and its twin Rita.

The first Iranian woman to be nominated for an Oscar, Shohreh Aghdashloo has alot in common with many other Iranian women.....She has had the "divine nose job" I think some of you might remember her as "Dina Araz" on Fox's "24"
The number of Iranian women swept with the popular trend of altering their noses' shape to the European standards have grown drastically within the last few years. It's the hottest trend.
You can read about it HERE but what I find interesting is THIS because it says that reducing the size of lips or noseā€”is not permitted in Islam because it alters the Creation of Allah.

Yesterday, I received a call from some friends and supporters who offered their home for a Ramadan prayer meeting last night. I jumped at the chance and sent out some mass emails to prospective field workers, church leaders, and supporters. From 6:30 to 8pm Katherine and I gathered with our hostess, her two little boys, and three others to intercede on behalf of Muslims--particularly the Malay people and women from Yemen. We also lifted up the American church and its needs--for repentance, in some quarters. Also , the international community God has placed in Phoenix for now.

Upon his arrival home from a Saturday evening spent immersed in the traditional Glaswegian pastime of hanging around bus shelters, drinking tonic wine, the young Mr Cameron would more often than not be greeted by the site of his drunken father, shrouded in a perma-cloud of cigarette smoke and glowering, malevolently, over his Whiskey tumbler, as he sat stripped to his vest in the darkened living room.

Be in a good mood when writing a love letter. Never try to write a love letter when you're in a bad mood, not only will it be more difficult to write but your bad vibes will make their way into the letter.

I've still been pretty busy with photos that I owe from September, and just STUFF. my days are filled more or less, and thank goodness for baby, or else I'll be getting calls every few hours cursing me for not being where i'm supposed to be. If there's anyone who's bad at remembering appointments.. it's.. well, not me! (in case my customers are reading this!)

Upon the opening of Disneyland this morning, we rushed to the joy that is Splash Mountain for a refreshing dip in the briar patch. Needless to say, the ride exceeded our expectations with the newly re-designed log cars resulting in an even wetter experience than before (Susan making a mental note not to ride Splash Mountain ever again.). And the story might have ended there, but it does not. When we arrived back to the loading area, we discovered that the ride had been shut down shortly after we had embarked. What happened? A death? A decapitation? All we know is that we were lucky to have escaped with our lives. Check your local news for updates.

After 7 yrs in a relationship, I am on the verge of being single again. After a discussion with my gf, I told her that maybe we gotta reconsider where our relationship is heading. How did we come to this stage? I am puzzled too. To think that just a few months ago, we were still discussing abt wedding.
For all I know is that for the past yr, she had not been the girl I once knew. Maybe it is because pple do change and I am not coming to terms with that. Or it may oso be that I can't trust her completely. There are of course incidents which make lost my trust in her.

So, when a "high heel occasion" presents itself, many women will run and hide making every excuse in the book why not to attend the event. These famous heel high shoes for women don't have to send you running for the hills. Don't let fear keep you from wearing the dress shoe of your choice and having a great timeout dancing the night away! Walking in high heels doesn't have to be such a challenge and with a bit of practice, you'll be stepping out and dancing in the high heels of your choice in no time.

It wasn't easy being enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in the late 70's and early 80's. Two weeks pay never lasted two weeks. The Saturday evenings before payday were like the movie Groundhog Day. Every Saturday evening before payday was a repeat of the previous Saturday evening before payday.

It's been a while since I have ravenously finished a book cover to cover in a few days. Granted, the Virgin Suicides isn't a fat volume, but when I say I devoured it, I literally opened my mouth and ate every last word, sucked the marrow from every comma, and ravished the novel from spine to page. It was as though I had kept my head into the plethora of study books concerning India and Hinduism that this sinful, wanton read was akin to air to a drowning man.

It was her birthday and she was alone. She decided to buy herself a present, a new coat for the upcoming winter. She had wanted one last year but didn't spend the money. Her old leather coat was many years old and it showed all of the years. She had bought it when she was still married, more than 4 years ago, maybe 5 years ago. She weighed a lot more then.
